Sussex Interpreting Services Rebrand

The Brief
Sussex Interpreting Services (SIS) are a charity who wanted to give their identity a refresh, enabling it to sit comfortably within the charity sector as well as giving them an identity that would compete in the business environment.
The Results
SIS provide an invaluable service for a community filled multicultural residents. We wanted to create an identity that stood out without alienating the vast array of nationalities it represents. The SIS logo is a representation of the strength of communication and trust that exists between the interpreters and their clients. The speech marks denote the vast array of languages spoken, layered to illustrate the integration and unification of all the nationalities involved. The resulting shape that this creates of an ear is there as a reminder of the care and understanding that is employed by all SIS staff towards their clients, listening and interpreting not only the linguistic differences but also the cultural, religious and political differences as well. The font used is accessible, friendly and inclusive, embodying the very nature that is SIS.
“Door 22 was energetic in generating a range of coherent branding options that I was able to confidently circulate to a diverse group of stakeholders. The selected logo captures the strength of communication and trust that exists between our community interpreters, staff, customers and communities. It supports our desired business image of working innovatively to provide flexible and meaningful communication”.
