Meet the Team
We are a small, down to earth and very creative team. You’ll get none of the jargon marketing types can be prone to. We are happy to work alongside others if you have existing relationships or we can act as your own inhouse design and marketing team – it’s up to you.
So here we are – Door 22 was started by Creative Director, Emma Nicol, 10 years ago. Her style and helpfulness as a designer soon meant large client wins and so the team needed to expand. The fantastic four you see below are how the team shapes up today:
Emma Nicol
Creative Director
With over 15 years of experience, Emma established Door 22 in 2002. Like Door 22, Emma is creative, approachable and friendly. She has worked hard to create an environment where pretention has been banned and talent, experience, results and a nice cup of tea are the order of the day.

Karen Altabev
Graphic Designer
Karen’s approach to design is methodical as well as being highly creative. She has great insight and a natural, comfortable rapport with clients. Her enthusiasm is consistent in every role whether it is conceptualising, developing a brand or designing a beautifully hard working website.

Chris Humphris
Graphic Designer
A confident designer both digitally and traditionally, Chris’s ideas come in bucket loads which is why he’s a real asset to the team beside the sea. Having lived and worked in Iceland he really can pronounce those volcano names properly, in one breath and everything!
Thumbs up to...
Skateboarding, gardening and his cats.
Thumbs down to...
Mayonnaise and road rash.

Our Extended Family
We are clear and very confident about our strengths but can
also work with some fantastic partners who we respect and
who compliment our team. They too are professional, blooming
good at what they do and are (almost) as nice as us.
